Soccer is a team sport that requires the proper set of equipment for all of its players. Any list of equipment will includesparticular uniforms for every player on the team. While cotton is the traditional fabric used for the uniform, most players prefer synthetic fabrics. The most important consideration is that players should wear safe and comfortable clothing that will not prove dangerous for the respective player or for his co-players.

A strong pair of shoes is very important but the player should feel comfortable in them. The sole should be so flexible that it can be moved in every direction. Two types of shoes include those with screw-in cleats and those with molded cleats. With screw-in cleats the player can change the cleat to suit the type of turf that the player will be playing on. This does not mean that the player has to carry a different sets of shoes for different ground conditions but the player should match the cleat with the turf.
